Ad Takeover
Citywide collaboration for Jordan Seiler's
PublicAdCampaign

In an effort to raise issues about outdoor advertising in New York City, PublicAdCampaign organized
the takeover of aproximately 120 NPA City Outdoor dedicated wildposting locations.
PublicAdCampaign took over the spaces because while operating as third party
signs, the outdoor advertisers had failed to get permits from the city and therefore were illegal.
This allowed PublicAdCampaign a relative level of impunity, if not only in our minds.
In the wake of this concept was the vast collaborative efforts of numerous participating
artists. The below images are from my contribution to the PublicAdCampaign's Ad Takeover.
