End To End
Spring 2009
Brooklyn, NY
Max MSP/Jitter + Projection
End to End is a public memorial to the subway train graffiti in NYC of the 70's
through the 80's. It will reintroduce graffiti imagery onto passing
subway cars through a temporary projection controlled by the speed of
the train and the user. The structure is a mobile device that the viewer can
pan to skew the archival graffiti images and create hyper-realistic perspective.
The form works by using the locomotion of the passing train to augment
the graffiti and the rotation of the device to skew the perspective.
This work is being refined and tested but sites will be advertised in
April and May for performances and demonstrations.
