Saferoute is an interactive and utilitarian application that allows bicyclists to
plot out the safest path between two points based off of statistical information.
The application runs off of a Processing code that combines info from the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Mapquest to allows cyclists to visualize
safe and unsafe pathways based off of previous bicycle accidents. The scope of
the project is to make the streets of NY safer as well as more efficient for
alternative forms of transportaiton.
